Unique Wedding Centerpieces
For most people, they think that their wedding centerpieces have to be flowers. That may have been true when your parents got married but that isn’t the case anymore. Unique wedding centerpieces are becoming more and more common as wedding themes become more interesting. Here are a few unique and cheap wedding centerpieces to consider when you start planning your wedding.
Candy centerpieces can be a very beautiful if you don’t over do it or make it very noticeable. Using rock candy can make a very unique wedding centerpiece and can be tailored to any color that you want them. Be sure to make them in advance as they take a couple of weeks to form.
If you are wanting a very beautiful, elegant look, then you could use floating candles in little glass bowls filled with seashells or marbles. Something that matches your theme but doesn’t take over the entire table. If you fear having the water spill all over your linens, then you can use regular candles as well.
Depending on the type of flowers you are using, a unique centerpiece can just be the type of flowers that you are using. If you are having a more beach themed wedding, than having a tropical flower like a Birds of Paradise is a very different idea that is not seen everyday.
One idea that is very unique that not many people have done is using pictures of the couple either from when they were younger or since they have been together. Lay out photos of the couple on each table and everyone gets to take one home. A nice frame, no matter the situation is always nice.
If you are having a fall wedding, a unique wedding centerpiece idea is to use fall colored leaves and fruits. You can get both inexpensively at the dollar store or a local craft store. Or you can even have fresh fruit centerpieces depending on the fruit that you are planning on using. Apples are a great, lasting fruit and then your guests can eat them later if they feel so inclined.
If you are in an area that it is not too hot or humid then some very unique wedding centerpieces you could create are chocolate centerpieces. They are fairly inexpensive and if you have even the most remote amount of artistic ability, this is a centerpiece that you can easily do yourself. You can make a simple monogram or a little design for each table. You can also do this in royal icing if you want something that will stand up to any kind of weather. If you are using either chocolate or royal icing however, be careful of the fact that it will and can break easily.
